Yeah, when you turn a go pro on, if you hold the button for more than just an instant, it turns not only 'on' but then it changes from video to still mode at the same time.

When turning it on, you have to give it one quick press and that's it. Make sure the video icon is still the selected mode.

So the camera is mounted to your helmet? That's an interesting approach, must be a small camera, is it one of those go-pro units? That setup really shows when/where your looking ahead, or in my case it would be not looking ahead.


Yeah, it mounts to my helmet. It's a contour hd.

I've never had that problem, but there's a new firmware upgrade that adds a "one button mode" that simplifies the recording process, if that might help.

Decided that the cold I'd had for several days would not react kindly to the morning temperatures. I think it was a good choice, as I'm still fighting off the end of it.

Which means I have tyres left for the non-points event... :)
