I got this bizarre image of a cart tied to an old rope rolling behind a Subaru swaying back and forth on the highway at high speeds.

The whole trailer detail eluded me for a second. Too many Sweetwaters last evening I guess...

So do cart guys and gals hate pivot cones too?

yeah, looks we need to address this one. Stay tuned for more information on this. I think the general buzz is we are starting to lean towards allowing shifter carts w/ licensed drivers at our events. Final decision is forthcoming once we confirm w/ Bowie and the ins company.

Rob,
Read it again.

A skinny guy like Keith will probably need to add weight to make the minimum!

Don't we also say "no trucks"? And, we've been letting them in for a couple of years now.

Also keep in mind Rob that there are three different engine combinations that you can run. Mine allows for the lowest minimum weight. You can run an ICC engine which makes more power but has to run at a minimum weight of 420 lbs. The middle ground is a Moto engine like mine with a performance ignition that has a minimum weight of 405 lbs.

FYI,

Triad allows karts. If there are "local club" insurance concerns they might be able to provide info.

I think the drivers need pilot licenses though due to the air time on bumpy courses.

No, as I understand it we ban SUVs, trucks are okay though I see no mention of either in the rules linked above. Of course these days defining an SUV is rather difficult. My Magnum is DOT classified as in SUV and I intend to run it at the non-points event unless I'm told otherwise.

Yeah, but I have to compete with them in HS! No, wait. So far that hasn't been a problem either. So, I ain't scared o' no trucks.

I emailed Carl and Emmie but have not heard a response so I figured I would post up here as well. I have spoken with an autocross VP and he assured me that I will be able to run my kart at Danville so I went to pre-register for the event but F125 is not an option. I just registered under "?" for the time being.

If nothing can be done to the pre-reg I will get it fixed at registration on Saturday, so no biggie.

Thanks,

Keith

Keith,
If you would, go ahead and sign up in the S2000 and we will get you fixed when Judi does the download.

During the Jimmy V last year, there was a kart that ran. He also spun out right in front of me and had to have me push start him across the finish line.

@ Stephen,

AXWare should already have F125 in the drop down menu. When Judi does the download, you could just class him then.

@ Keith,

I know I probably won't be able to fit in your seat, but I would love to be able to try it at least. I'm just interested to see if a kart is something I should even lust after anymore.
