Thanks, everyone, for making the weekend a success!
I'm not sure what to make of how behind schedule we got. I think that a large number of walk-up registrants was a factor. That's a great problem to have, but I'm wondering if it had an adverse affect on the run group splits.
Now, the timing issues, that's something we're going to need to look at closely. I believe that we also had a higher than normal number of timing glitches at Danville in April, and we may have had some at Laurinburg too. Anyway, two events in a row is now a pattern, rather than a fluke, so I'm thinking about what might be causing it.
One way or the other, the lengthy event happened on my watch, so I'm sorry to those of you who had to stay longer than you'd hoped to.
I'm glad everyone liked the course. What I'm a little less glad about is the way I drove it.

As I often do, my first run out of the box was pretty tentative, and the time suffered badly. Runs 2 and 3 were faster - a lot faster - but I couldn't quite put a whole good one together. I found myself getting through one segment full throttle and really fast only to not slow the car down enough for the next element. I *thought* I was doing an okay job of looking ahead, but perhaps not. I also found that my control inputs got almost violent towards the end of the day, which is not the way to go fast in an S2000. My final "hail mary" was a scorcher, but I suppose anyone can go fast while knocking down four cones. Jeez. I thought I'd righted the cone hitting problem, so that was disappointing.
Having my codrivers discover that the front tires were starting to show signs of cord first thing in the morning probably did not help much.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who came out, supported a great cause, and lent a hand.
