I'm just saying there are 3 cars running PRO using STS pax. All 3 are STS-legal, even if one of them is a DS car on Azenis. I understand your point & your purpose Scott, and I respect that - I'm just making an observation. Basically, my opinion on PRO is that unless somebody else steps it up, a certain WRX is going to have a big advantage (weak pax  ). The main thing I care about this year is getting myself & the car ready for national stuff in 2005 using Aaron as a reference. Whether that's in PRO or STS, I don't really care.

That really isn't the case anymore. Laurinburg is good for race tires, Rockingham is good for race tires and Danville is good for race tires, that only leaves one site that is gritty enough that it really favors the street tire classes.

What kevin said, still stands though, a Subaru will still win PRO class every time

This year it will :P

But if the lords of THSCC would modify the Top Gun to use both RAW and PAX factoring...

I don't need to run PRO. The final PAX results will speak loud and clear

With all this chest thumping, we just might have to bring out the S04's. or maybe treat the old S03's

Bring out those S04's. It will be sad when you flatspot those pretty tires just to try to beat little 'ol me.

Actually, let's sweeten the pot a bit, and do the standard bet I do with my co-driver? $5 a tenth, rounding up anything .05 or over? This would all be based on PAX values. I certainly don't mind taking your money, or anyone else who wants in.

Guess you must be talking about year end? Everyone seems to have missed a certain DS Bimmer that invited itself to the Pro party this weekend that just might take offense to that statement...

I'm out of this one - it's obvious I'm on a much lower trash-talking level than you guys. Maybe at the next school we can have Aaron teach a class?

I have no problem talking trash, that's for sure. It's part of the game I like. If I can back it up, all the better, but I'm fine when someone takes me to the woodshed.

I'm sure GH will be fast in the new car, no doubt about it, but whether or not it's fully prepped yet is the question. If he wants in on the bet, the more the merrier :) - AB

Others feel differently. It's quite clear that some people think that a severe butt kicking is fun (some giving, some receiving, some enjoy both).

Well it really isn't all that much fun to do either. Getting whupped by multiple seconds day in day out wasn't all that much fun. Improving against a clear and obvious yardstick was.

Beating the competition by several seconds every time isn't all that great either. That's why I moved out of HS. It's hard to learn when there is no meaningful competition.

Another thing I've noticed in clubs that don't run Pro is a closer camaraderie between competitors when there is no Pro class. I don't think I would have ever become friends with Geoff or Dave or Chris (eek!) had I not competed _in_class_ with them.
