Indeed, nice driving Jennifer. I have to say, I was a little disappointed last night looking at the results when I saw a few CS'ers ahead of FS on what I'd consider to be somewhat of a "horsepower" course.

I will say that with the Danville site, the grip level definitely tails away as the day progresses.

On my 2nd run I felt like I left about .8 second out there (even without the cone), but in the afternoon I struggled to match my first run time that was .6 second slower than my best raw. - AB

but there are also a hand full of people that there fastest time was in the afternoon, the course def felt "slicker" in the afternoon or it was just me from baking working the course during the third heat. Either way fun as crap.

It was definitely a fun time, no doubt about that. It was probably one of the best courses I have driven at Danville in 5 years.

As for people going faster, sure, I think there were plenty of people who went faster, but that was likely due to correcting mistakes from earlier or "figuring out" a section they weren't doing very well.

The areas that hurt me the most in the afternoon were the slower areas, like the first sweeper and turn around. The loss of grip there was very noticable. - AB

Those 2 areas got me as well. It's actually not that easy to do a 360 in a Mini, in the grass, like I did in the sweeper on my 1st AM run. I almost did exactly the same thing at the crossover on my 2nd run in the PM.
Still, Danville is my favorite site.

Eric and I had a heck of a time coming out of the first slalom during the afternoon. We'd loosened up the car just a touch, and in that one area in particular, the car was rather wild. The moment I tried to go full throttle on the way out of the slalom, it would step big time. Controllable, but a little out of character for my car. It usually tends towards stable.

Well, stable-ish.

Many thanks to the VP's and Event Chairs of the weekend for putting together a great course.
The whole course was fast and the elements were well linked with enough challenge.

Here is the video of my fastest run 44.448

(Be fair warned Maria that the Supercharger whine is very prominent.)

How about that battle in FS - all three drivers separated by 0.077 seconds!

I was bummed I threw my last run away. Got a little greedy going into the turn around and started pushing....it was all downhill after that. Oh well. Loosing by .008 really sucks. A little more gas here or a little less brake there would have done it.

Is this where I'm supposed to say "I'll try to beat you by a wider margin next time" ? I guess not, that wouldn't be very sporting.

I think all three of us could have gone quite a bit quicker ... the fact that we were so close together may have made us all over-do it a bit.

I really thought I had nailed my last run, but then I braked a little late for the C-box, which made the following left a struggle - so I decided to make it all up, and then some, on the final (right hand) turn to the finish. Sure enough, the back end pitched out, but I caught it, and there was some wheelspin, but that would have been OK too, except I forgot to push that little "TCS" button on the dash before I began the run. I idled across the finish with the gas pedal pinned to the floor. If only a Toyota engineer had designed the fly-by-wire throttle for my car!

Anyway, I really liked the course.

I thought it lost grip in the afternoon too, but then again, my front right tire was in the process of delaminating. I just chalked it up to the tire.

Jennifer is really driving great. And she is getting faster in a hurry. C Stock is going to be a fun class this year and I hope we can all get faster as the year goes on.

With Jennifer, MJ and Rebecca in the class, if us guys don't speed up, chicks will indeed rule.
