Obviously, Jim beat everyone down as expected ;) , but special kudos go out to Matt McGrain in his new to him Civic Si and Karl Shultz, who is now putting together consistently. - AB

Thanks Aaron. A day of decent driving makes the M3 to Civic transition a little less painful. :car:

Is it possible for me to grab my trophies at the next event? I only beat Lee so often, I need to collect memorabilia to document it. . .

Thanks, Aaron! And, you're right, that was a fine drive by Matt in the Civic. See, Matt, I told you you took me to the woodshed! :)

Did anybody else notice that Brice Johnson very quietly got into the top ten PAX times, in what amounts to an HS car with a rear swaybar on it? That's impressive.

Brice has been creeping up since last year.

Forgot to mention the most important thing - thanks, Emmie, for getting the results posted so fast!

I should have posted them Sun night when Todd emailed them to me. Then I *did* post 'em last night, but forgot to post to the forum that I did. I think I'm discovering that, as the days add up, physical and mental fatigue are arriving sooner.

Thats my SECOND top 10 pax thank you :)

In all seriousness, I feel like the 3 is a GREAT autocross car. Sure it lacks power, but the stock suspension is actually quite good, it has good torque, and just feels great out there on course. I've seriously entertained the idea of taking it back to stock class at some point, but its so much more fun on the street how it is now. In addition, I really like just showing up, unpacking the car and racing; the beauty of a street tire class.

I hadn't seen any results until now and I have to echo what Aaron said. Awesome job Matt! You looked great out on course and I had a good view of all your runs while working station 1. vTak, y0! :D

If it was really that important to you you should have stayed and then had the opportunity to gloat

I think I saw Lee burning something over by the side of the runway for warmth

Thanks Karl & Jim great driving as well! VtakPwns.. haha!

My biggest fear in the Si is that after the first run on real tires I'd be afraid it was nothing like the ITR but it's really closer than I thought it would be despite the ~300 lb. difference. The biggest disadvantage is the brakes but then again they're OE pads. All the bench racers in the ITR forum bash the MacPherson strut front and blah, blah, but the understeer isn't too harsh.

Jim, speaking of station 1, how'd you take the 'v' section in the Type R? I was going to try to get flat footed to get to the megaslalom quicker but kept wussing out thinking I'd nail the exit cone.

I had to slightly brush the brakes before entering the V. I was flat-foot from the start to the V so I had a pretty good head of steam built up by the time I got there.

I might have been able to make it through there flat or with just a tiny lift on fresh tires but I was running on very worn 225 fronts (left over from the MR2) as opposed to the regular 275's. They started the day with a shadow of the groove showing but were totally bald by the end of the day which means they are only a few runs away from cording.

There are two Michael Miller entries, one in CS and one in NOV. I assume that they are not the same person.

Any guidance as to how to resolve these for season points purposes? One of them perhaps wants to become Mike, or even Mr. Michael Miller?
