Thanks for running the autocross Karl & Co. The weather held up and it was quite pleasant until the wind showed up.
Just one question/issue of concern: It seriously seemed like the 1st run group was at least double the size of the 3rd run group. I know it is hard to split up run groups so it's equal across all of the groups, but I saw quite a bit of TIR cars running in the 1st group as opposed to their assigned 3rd group. I understand if there were mix-ups or special scenarios, but it really made the 2nd and 3rd run groups seem vacant.
I
think that Tire was intended to run with its normally-assigned class. So, a BS S2000 in Tire would have run with the rest of the BS cars. At least, that's what I remember one of the worker coordinators telling me.
Additionally, I
think that we had a bit more "walk ups" than usual, especially in terms of the percentage of the entire event. The preregistration list had 75 people on it, yet, we had 86 entrants. 11 people doesn't sound like a lot, but that's about a 13% change. That's the sort of thing that can throw rungroups out of balance, particularly at an event with a relatively low attendance number.
The above is speculation; I'll let the worker coordinators chime in if something different happened. In the meantime, I'm sorry if the rungroups were uneven. All we can do is our best.
