Donnie, you need sum edumacation, boy. The trademark "Tarheel Sports Car Club" was originated by some fine folks more known for thier affiliation with that other well known institution, NC State. That two word expression "Tar Heel" is associated with that "other" institution of larnin' (which will remain unnamed), but which may be accessed via the Internet @:

As an NCSU graduate I have to say that it doesn't surprise me that NCSU people would get something so basic so wrong. :P

The Evo Advantage was great except that it was raining so hard that I doubt much was learned about the site's grip. Driving in the rain with Sam Strano as an instructor however, was super! I've never AXed in this kind of weather,

Jim's driving. But that's not nearly as interesting as the wager in place between some BS competitors.

Just found out what Tour is really about, and it's not the 3 minutes you spend on course!

Let's just say that one of the BS competitors now has a new nickname.

That was a helluva weekend. Fun course. Could have been a bit warmer but it was dry.

Actually I guess warm weather would have helped Doe honor the wager. :D

Congrats to all the folks who went down there - from the results pages looks like an excellent showing!

Now please explain that bet!

The courses were absolutely amazing. The only downer on the whole weekend was the colder than expected temperatures and the very high cone count. Neither of which dampened any of our spirits. I had a blast but am now exhausted as I sit at my desk at work after less than 4 hours sleep following a 20 hour day.

I think we were all thrilled that Bernie and Gwen had a great time and found out that National events are not all uptight but in fact very relaxed.

Congrats to all the locals who went down and ran well. I haven't actually looked at the results for any of the other classes yet but BS was one hell of a dog fight despite what the final results show.
