The Test and Tune in Laurinburg is only a week away. If you are planning to attend, please preregister.

The weather forecast for next Sunday looks fantastic and it should be a great opportunity to get lots of seat time.

Come out, have some fun and get car and driver prepared for the upcoming season.

Thanks.

Unless you were there in 2005  At current numbers, you could wear out an entire set if tires

After 14 runs at the Triad TnT....I think I put the equivalent of 10k miles on my tires yesterday. I don't want to even think about how bad Laurinburg is going to be on my tires....good thing I have some new ones in the garage waiting to be installed....probably should get them mounted before the VIR circutcross at the end of March.

What's the latest time we can get there on Sunday? I'd have to make it a day trip from Chapel Hill.

I don't know. How does "sometime before 1:00PM" sound? I haven't really thought about it. If you could be around for the last half of the day, that should get you a good deal of seat time, and allow you to help work course, without it being too much of a rush job for you.

It's nothing too structured - we'll probably just wing it.

Unless your old stuff is corded, why waste new rubber on a T&T?

We wouldn't run it a lot, we just wanted to have her first run on good rubber not be a competition run.

I'd probably be burning up my tires more than anything else since they are pretty badly worn.

Hey, so would whoever's driving the bus feel like dropping it off at my house on their way home? That will save a trip from its usual storage spot to the rallyx. If not, no problem.

Thanks!

Not sure I can - I'll be leaving a car at Chris' when I pick up the bus. If I can change the shuffle to make it work I will let you know.

I might be able to but have to make sure I have a ride from Kevin's to my house.

You're welcome to ride with me if no one else is closer (and offers).

Not to put too fine a point on it, but it's been said that R comps have a magic number of runs-where the tire is at it's best. Do you really want to waste even one on a T&T? I'm just saying. Just throwing out a thought.

Well, its apparently not even going to be an issue, b/c they won't be here in time, so we won't be at the TNT anyways.

Thanks for your advice though Gwen. We too, are also in sticker shock right now. . .
