I started in 2004, when I was living in DC. Did about 10 events in 2 years ('04-'06), one of which was hosted by a car club I was very active in. That was my first course design/set-up experience. At the time I had an '04 Acura TL /w 6speed manual.

I got the S2000 in '07, moved to NC in '08 and started autocrossing again last year with a TSCC school in april. I've done 3 events in the last year (april to present).

I know is not related, but I also have participated in more than 10 HPDE events (about 15 days total).

ok, I've beat the bushes and hopefully we'll have some responses and more students in the next few days. Charlie and I hit the mustang club last week and gave our autox spiel. Seemed to be a lot of interest and lot of the business cards were taken. There is a conflict w/ another club event that weekend, so I'm not sure how many will show.

I've also been talking w/ a honda club and trying to get them to come out and join the novice school.

Last but not least, Gilbert Reynolds has put the word out w/ the bimmer club that we are looking for students. Hopefully we'll get a few folks from somewhere and boost the numbers just a bit.

I also see the entry limit is now down to 30 entries. I think that's a great number to work with. We'll only need 15 instructors based on that student number.

The HPDE is actually a detriment, It makes you AX worse. (ask me how I know   )

Seriously, that's great, we'd love to have you instruct. I will post information a little later regarding timing etc.

Thanks
Rob

Yep, I had Emmie drop it so that we don't overwhelm the instructors if we get a big influx. If we spill into a waiting list, I'll push harder for more instructors. We will actually need a few more than the 2:1 ratio so that we can have someone administrate, but so far looks so good. We could use more students tho

Thanks
Rob

Rob, you forgot to add Pedro to the instructor list. Chris Suich has also stepped up.

Thanks guys!

Done, We are at about 18 instructors and 24 students so far so we should have a good ratio that will keep the instructors from being killed by having to jump in and out of cars. It will give them a chance to disect the runs and also provide for someone(s) to administrate the event and keep us on time and also to help train the novs on how to work the course.

As I am expecting more folks to sign up, please sign up as an instructor if you can. It is rewarding.

Thanks
Rob

This is an excellent list of instructors we've got teaching at this school! Well, except for that Shultz guy. He's a hack.

I just talked a friend of mine into signing up (Stephen Later) and he would like me to be his instructor... do you still need instructors? If not, would you mind if I instructed Stephen?

My friend JUST signed up and is on the wait list. What are the chances we actually turn people away who are on the waiting list?

I think we can expand the invite list given the number of instructors. We have 19 instructors and 31 students which is a pretty good ratio as we want to not have instructors having to run from car to car to car with no breaks. As long as the AXVP and the other school co-ordinators don't have any objections we may expand it as we gain instructors.
