SCCA membership and NCR/CCR

So, how exactly does SCCA membership work with respect to CCR and NCR events. Do the "member" prices for events apply if you are an SCCA member period, or do you have to be a member of their specific region?

I'm thinking about joining considering I will be doing more of their events this year, and I probably should go ahead and join anyways. Looks like CCR is a little cheaper than NCR, which is why I ask.

You can't really join a "region", you join the SCCA. Your region is determined by where you live. You're almost certainly NCR. I guess regions can have different region dues amounts, but it all goes through the national office and I think if you try to join the wrong region they'll just fix it and bill you accordingly anyway.

At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works. At any rate, I know once you join you're covered as a "member" at any regional or national event no matter the region.

What Donnie said. You're Region 55 which is NCR. Then, when you enter an event with an SCCA club, you pay the member price.
