Jeb and his guys are awesome.
I'm borrowing Bowie Jr.'s trailer for the trip to Nationals this year. Part of my "rental fee" involves bringing his father's 1962 Austin Healey Sprite to Wilson on said trailer. The trailer needed new tires; so Bowie made arrangements with Jeb, over the telephone from Atlanta, to get some tires ordered up. I would then swing by Jeb's store on my way out of Burlington, which is where the Sprite was.
Fast forward to this afternoon, and I'm on my way to Discount Tire. I get there, and Jeb realizes that Bowie had the tire sizes for the trailer wrong. He'd told Jeb 15s - they're 14s. Uh, now what. Well, this is what. Jeb let me keep the Sprite, still on the trailer, in one of his service bays overnight. Meanwhile, he ordered some 14" tires for the trailer, which will arrive tomorrow.
That's setting the bar for customer service awfully high.
There was also my truck tires. A month and a half ago, it was time for me to put new tires on the F250. After pricing tires all over the place - Costco, Tire Rack, Discount Tire - Jeb ended up with the best price all told. 235-85-16 BFG Commercial T/As for $600 even, out the door (this included a rebate). That's with lifetime rotation, balancing, and pressure checks. At any Discount Tire store in the country. And the standard pro-rated repair policy that you get, which near as I can figure, is equivalent to most places' Roadhazard warranty.
One final thing about the truck tires - Jeb's guys are impossibly fast. I brought the truck in. Then, I bought a soda out of the soda machine, made a phone call, and sat down to read an article in Automobile magazine. Before I even got through the whole article, they were done.
Highly recommended.
