Where do people buy BMW e36 front rotors and brake wear sensors locally besides the stealership? Do local parts stores not carry this stuff? I called Advanced Auto and they do not. Rather than calling all around, I thought I would ask here first.

I had a bad experience buying rotors on tirerack a while back and would rather buy them locally.

Find a place that gets parts from WorldPac.

Black Forest in Cary (Adam Ligon) is one suggestion, or MPowered Auto in Cary (Jordan or Michael) is another.

I'm sure there are plenty of other places. Worldpac typically offers several different brands of rotors for the same car, at different prices. If country of origin is a concern, ASK them before you buy, they should be able to tell you where each rotor was made by looking at their Worldpac ordering page.

CarQuest owns WorldPaq, and can get you WorldPaq items within a couple hours - maybe less if you go to the main N.Raleigh store. If you know WP has what you need, tell them that - it's a separate computer that they look the parts up in.

I typically look up parts through AutoPartswarehouse.com, as most of their stuff also comes through WorldPaq, then call up CarQuest. I've used BlackForest as well and they are great, but given they are on the exact opposite side of town from me, it's typically just easier for me to call up the CarQuest guys a couple miles away.

MPowered can usually get BMW parts same day if you catch them in the morning. Jordan's pricing has always been equal or better.

The North Raleigh CarQuest is not too far from me. Is there a brand that I should be on the look for as far as an OE replacement?

In my experience, Brembo, Balo, and Zimmerman are all quality OE replacements, and you will probably get one of these from most reputable parts places.
