I'm renovating my master bathroom and installing a ceramic tile floor is not something I feel like tackling. Drywall and painting are where I draw the line.

Any recommendations?

thanks,
Matt

Disclaimer, I AM related to the guy :) But he's cheaper than he should be, which means it's sometimes difficult to get on his calendar in the near term. While Scott had painting done, he does (and has the right tools for) pretty much everything handyman related.

Matt,

Look into SunTouch heating under the tiles. Tiles stay cold in the winter,
http://www.suntouch.com/

I had this installed duringa recent masterbath remodel. Getting up and walking onto an 83 degree floor at 5:30 am in the winter is a nice thing. The thermostat is programmable. Make sure you run the matting on both sides of the commode too. I believe I ordered from WarmYourFloors:

I used a guy that I'd recommend for the standard work: custom shower basin versus a prefab one, tile shower and wall work, and tile floor work. In hindsight I think he way overcharged for the installation of the heating element, though.

-A little hard around the edges but he showed up when promised and did good work. He was recommended to me by a co-worker and I have since recommended him to other co-workers.

Chris

Did a master bath shower for us not too long ago. Did a GREAT job at a very good price. We supplied the tile, and he supplied the thinset mortar and the labor.

I appreciate the help guys!

Side note: drywall sucks! I thought the second time would be easier. Nope. Just as much of a pita.
