Just curious if many people check this website for cars....I know there have to be a few other people out there on the hunt for a beater after the Rallycross last weekend.

http://www.ncstatesurplus.com/ssp/publi ... _dates.asp

I know miatas are popular in the club...they have one posted under drug seizures.

Also...does anyone have an experience dealing with these guys? Have any good or bad experiences to share?

I bid on a trailer there with a little bit of surface rust on it. It ended up selling for more then I could get a new rustless trailer for.

Don't expect too much of a bargain, especially considering you can't drive the cars around.

and have a good dog check the car out - there are plenty of stories about some of the drug seizure cars not having all their "stash" removed before sale. "Honestly, officer, its a state car!"

3,333.33 IS a pretty good bargain price for a 97 Miata, even as a parts or spec car. Wish I could have found the time to inspect it. Salvage title kept me from just throwing a bid in sight unseen.

That's where I got the Crown Vic P.I. that I've been using to tow the VW
since June '95. Just about getting ready to retire that car end of this
season.
