Props to Jeb and the gang. Ordered me up some impossibly large Hoosier A6s for the S2000, matching the Tire Rack's price in the process.

And talk about FAST. I dropped my bare wheels off, and walked across the street to get a gyro at Baba Ghanoush (itself a worthwhile endeavor). By the time I'd finished my gyro, my phone rang - the tires were mounted and ready to go.

I should point out that this was probably not a trivial mount - 245-40-17s on a 7" wide rim, and 275-40-17s on an 8.5" wide rim. I think it *might* have taken them 45 minutes.

Thanks Jeb.

The 245's might have been a bit annoying, but I regularly mount 275/40/17's on 8" rims for the STi myself. I can do it in that timeframe including dismounting. :)

Edited to add: That is good service from a vendor, though. Discount Tire has been known to get some Kumhos mounted for folks that other club sponsors couldn't, too. *cough* Well, Kumhos that I couldn't get, either.

Thanks for the props Karl, glad we could get it taken care of. While I am still lobbying for corporate to kick in some sponsorship dollars, I have become a "supporter". I offer preferred pricing and have no problem matching prices. Several on here have broght me pricing from Edgeracing, vulcan tire and Tire Rack. As long as I can verify it I can match it. If it is something unique to Discount Tire, like some of our wheels and select tires, I will offer a discount as well. Usually it is $25 off of a set of 4 tires and in the area of $50-$80 off for wheel and tire packages.

We can mount, flip and force balance as well and I do offer a small discount on more labor related tasks (see Mike WHitney's customer history). :)

Something I forgot to add that was an especially nice touch - they bagged up all the wheels for me. Which was really cool, given that I had to ask Chuck and Ash Nelson to cart my stuff to Greenville for me this weekend.

Just one minor update. I got caught out by some build problems at work this week, and totally spaced on the fact that I needed to have my Hoosiers flipped on the rims before Mike and I go wring the S2000's neck this weekend. I called Jeb, I think, today around ten in the morning? He said "sure, bring them by."

They were done in an hour and a half. On basically zero notice. At a place that does an impossible amount of business from my observation. Guess there's a reason for that.

Oh, and he's like a mile from Whitney's place, so if your codriver happens to be Whitney, it makes it a real nobrainer :D
