I'd be up for a dyno day at Eurospeed. I've got numbers from another Dynapack already.

That's the opposite of what I've seen. One of my Honda Challenge guys did pulls on a Dynojet and on JE Import Performance's Dynapack and the Dynapack read something like 16% lower.

Known (in the Honda Challenge community anyway) engine gurus (P1 Auto, R&D Motorsports, J/E Import Performance) have agreed with this. I'm looking at my pull on JE's Dynapack (146.6 HP) and have been told that equates to about 160 on a Dynojet.

Just want to make sure nobody's disappointed if we do something at Eurospeed and the numbers are "low."

Well, a couple years ago, a friend of mine dynoed his Jetta on the dynojet dyno at (the now defunct) PM Racing shop off Capital. Those numbers came up identical to what he pulled on the dynapack at Eurospeed. Maybe it's a calibration thing, I dunno...

I dynoed my GT-S bone stock on the dynojet with 72k on the odometer and came in at 163 HP. Now with the new mods, I should be putting down close to 200 WHP running normally aspirated. You sure I can't slap some Honda logos on the car and run it in ECHC? :) - AB

Blissfully, this is not up to me for 2004.

The 146 number isn't exactly good, but it's also not surprising given how much track time that poor motor has on it...

I'm kindof surprised...this thread is the first time I've ever heard bad things about Eurospeed...but I know the people over there and gladly give my recommendation...
Personally, I've seen them dyno alot of hondas and a few bmws and porches when I've been over there.
One thing that might be considered is inviting them to bring the dyno out to an Autocross event next season? I know they've done that before with drag racing events...

I would be up for another DYNO day when I get The Scirocco back
to together Hopefully by early Jan.
Rather do one close to Raleigh then truck out to TURBOTUNE in
Greensboro.

Just a bump and fyi...

I talked to Jeff Creech at Carolina Automasters yesterday. He's healing well from his broken back and returned to the shop in early december (about 3 weeks out).

He's up to speed running dyno's, etc and would love to have us come back again.

When I get the new motor done I'll be in there for some carb tuning, so depending on demand I might do another dyno day then. In the mean time, others in the club are welcome to do coordinate one.

Scott

I'm in for another day at Carolina Automasters. I'm shooting for ~110 rwhp this time. I'm sure Jason will be in, and we'll probably get Rich Anderson too. I don't think we'll have much trouble filling spots.

I'm assuming this will be after VIR-Full, since the Celica is engineless...

I might jump in on this if the cost is reasonable. Never had the car on a dyno so I have no idea how much it puts out. Would be interested in seeing the hp/tq curve as a curiosity more than anything else.
