It seems that my Nissan mechanic was in a motorcycle accident and won't be working for a while, and my previous Mustang mechanic fell off the face of the earth, so I need a recommendation for a shop in the Durham area, preferably north/northwest/northeast or downtown.

What I need immediately is a new brake booster in the Mustang. It went to heck on me early in my second run yesterday. Sounded like a ruptured whoopee cushion each time I braked, and felt worse.

Art,
Bob Kendrick works on cars on the side. He is in North Raleigh (sorry). Give him a call at 349-7550 cell. He is very reasonable on his rates too.

Carolina Auto Masters specalizes in American Iron-They are a High Performance tuning shop and have some really sharp people. I'm sure
they can sort out your Mustang. They help us a lot with dyno days, tech
days, give them a call and give them a try!

Located on Main St in Durham. See the link on the Track Sponsor page or GOOGLE Search.

Yeah, talk to Jeff. He is a great guy. Hell, he was on PINKS not too long ago and took home a car. - AB

Creech is a tuner that prefers the Bowties. He might be able to point you in the right direction though.

Thanks for the pointers. I've had work done at Carolina Automasters in the past. (It's on S Elizabeth St, between E Main St. and Ramseur St., in the old Carpenter's Chevrolet truck repair shop.) Place gives me the creeps! :)

Anyway, I talked to Bob Kendrick tonight, and he seems willing to help.
