 Post subject: Mercedes machine shop (aluminum engines)

Anyone know of a machine shop that can work with alusil (aluminum block)? I have some some damage to a cylinder wall. I heard Mercedes uses aluminum engines and a machine shop that can work Merceded engines can bore it out. Here is a link to a high res pic ...

Mark,
You might call Brad Moyer at Digital Chassis 384-7070.
He does a lot of 928 engine rebuilds ..a lot of aluminium in them.
Expect an answering machine..he's hard to get up with at times.
