At the last Rockingham event my JVC digital camcorder decided the lens cap was on and nothing I did could change it. I was resigned to the thought of having to replace it.

On a whim I decided what the heck, lets call the JVC service center and see if there is a way to reset the camera. After a quite short hold time I talked to the service guy, told him the problem, the camera model and the fact I had bought it refurbished probably over a year ago.

All that said he said it was a known problem with a VERY few cameras and to send it in for repair....no cost to me! Wow, I couldn't even produce the receipt and was never asked to do so.

JVC certainly stands behind their products and merits a look.

Wow exactly the opposite of the experience I have had with Panasonic. I have a phone and a Camcorder. The camcorder was expensive at the time. It had and has a known problem (Dew Sensor locking up the camera) that Panasonic would not fix. Same problem with the phone.

I will never buy Panasonic again Customer Service just slightly behind the time
