Last night I was changing the oil in the MazdaSpeed 3. I removed the belly pan only to have a heavy round disk land on my head. On inspection it proved to be the outer plate on the AC compressor clutch. It looks like the bolt either backed out or broke. I’ll have to get a mirror and look at it tonight. Does anybody know of a good and honest AC repair place. Even though I judge this to be a manufacturing defect, I’m not taking it to the dealership as Southern States is really crappy at customer care.
I also have a Corvette that needs a new AC compressor, so someone is going to make a few bucks. I guess that I’ll be poor for a while.
