Jack a car up, hear a bad noise, have car fall on the now-diagonal jack awkwardly, scissorjack the car up, realize that the lugs on the wheel are torqued to stand-on-a-breaker-bar foot-pounds, unjack the car, loosen, jack, remove broken jack, stare at nice gouge in <1hr new to me car, shake my head, replace wheel and then get to deal with the lovely ladies that work at the Sam's return desk that don't know jack.

We absolutely LUV our SC one! We store/transport it on it's side, and so far it's been to Oscoda, Laurinburg and Laurens and worked like a champ. Not even as hard to pump as the HF one we had tried, the handle doesn't start pumping way high up, Donna doesn't have a problem with it. The only minor annoyance has been the button that holds the handle together has way too strong a spring and is difficult to push in far enough unless you use something other than your finger. I haven't had a chance to fix that yet, but it's on my honeydo list.

Pep Boys has their $99 blue racing jack (Big Red brand) on sale for $79 and then gives you a $10 mail in rebate ($69 after everything is done). I picked up one today at the Raleigh Capital Blvd store (they still had one left on the shelf).
