I need to add a gas line to my kitchen, and honestly, the gas lines I see in my crawlspace are pretty ghetto. I'm thinking of replacing them all. Normally, I'd just do it myself, but in this case, I might want a professional (though, it was "professionals" that ghettoized it the first time).

Any suggestions? I'm near Southpoint mall, but by the time this is done, it will probably cost enough that a plumber would be willing to travel.

I prefer to hire someone who will actually do the work, not just send out some flunkies to do it for him.

We had these guys run our gas pipes:

http://www.myprojectservices.com/

They're reliable and do what they say they will do. The owner cut his teeth as a pipefitter so he knows gas work. The owner probably won't do the work but his guys seem to know their stuff.

Most gas piping today is CSST because copper is too expensive. It has its quirks ...

Scott. Let me know who you use and how it turns out. I'm debating running a gas line up to my stove since I despise electric stove tops and the one I have is on its way out anyway.

I've used them too. Good work and after-installation support if you need it. Reasonable prices (for plumbers!).
