Really? I've seen them at NAPA, AutoZone and even Lowe's. None of them are cheap but in my experience they do work well.

I've checked websites for Home Depot, Lowe's, Autozone, Advanced Auto, Pep Boys, and Harbor Freight and nothing ever came up. I just assumed that meant they didn't carry it. I searched for "helicoil", maybe they sell their own brand or something. There's a NAPA near my house, so I'll try there tonight. Thanks...

Pep Boys stocks them as I recall . . . subject to actually being in stock. I suspect that Carquest, etc. would also have them in stock.

What size?

I've bought them at Autozone and Advance Auto (shelf items). They have a smaller selection of metric sizes than domestic, neither place carries any "larger" sizes. I just did an on-line order to get M10x1.25 (none of the parts stores had any that were that big).

Autozone is no name brand, but looks to have better quality parts than the Heli-coil brand that you get at Advance.

Not sure what size. I'll have to take a bolt with me. Maybe M6x1.0 or M8x1.0. It's the 10mm bolt on this page: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/T ... CO_07.html

The stupid manual that I have doesn't list the torque spec for the 10mm, so I just assumed that they were all the same. How many broken bolts do you think it took me to realize that something wasn't right?

You should be go to go at Advance Auto. I'm already forgetting, but it's a 6x1.0 or 6x1.25, I forget which it is.

Bolt size: Wrench size
6:10
8:12
10:14
12:17
14:19

Etc.
