A coworker asked me about an independent mechanic in Raleigh for her Mini. She is not satisfied with the service she is getting at the dealer.

Being a sigle mom, I suspect price is an issue for her, but it seems like they have her car more than she does.

Suggestions for independent mechanics for Minis?

Matthew,
Just curious, but what kind of mechanical work does she need to have done? I've never paid anything, and that includes 2 new trannys on my first Mini. They pretty much cover the first 100K miles.

That being said, I've had to argue to get something corrected that they didn't want to admit was wrong. (Flow in Winston Salem.) So, she may just be fed up with them. That I can understand.

They use bmw software and alot of parts so general stuff anybody can take care of. Sean recommendation can probably take care of anything.

That said, I know how some Mini folks are! this guy is in Thomasville, ex mini tech does a lot of minis from all over the state (guy I know from Greenville towed his up there for a water pumb!!!)

I'm highly disappointed Vincent hasn't posted a picture of Kendt in this thread. He's pretty good with a wrench.

^^^ I would have assumed Vincent would be making BMW comments, but that's pretty darn hilarious :).

I almost made the Kendt reference earlier today, but didn't want to steal VKs opportunity.
