Is anyone else having trouble with the permanent number page?
http://www.thscc.com/autocross/permnum_autox.html

I keep getting the following error:
Quote:
Couldn't find permanent number entry to update!

Possible causes are:

* Driver's license information was incorrect
* You meant to hit the Submit button instead of Update

Use the BACK button on your browser to go back and correct the problem.

I'm pretty sure I set this up last year and wanted to change some info. It asks to use the submit button, but it does not exist.

I'm not a webmaster here, but from what I can tell by taking a peek at the code, the "Add My Info", "View My Info", and "Update My Info" are each submit buttons of sorts, but each one modifies the form to call a different action on the cgi page. Perhaps they emptied their database at the start of the year? Perhaps a webmaster would like to chime in?

I suspect the outcome of this will be that you need to use the "Add My Info" as your submit button of choice.

Chris,

You're not listed in the permnum file. To add yourself, fill in the info (make sure you get your drivers license info correct, that is what the system matches on), then click the "Add My Info" button.

Let me know (via email to webmaster@thscc.com) if you are still having problems.

Thanks, it is working now. Probably I did not add all of the 'required' info since I had thought I had done it before. All is fine.

Thanks

Another permanent number question. . .

I currently have "STS 3" reserved, but as you know the SCCA decided to make it a pain for me by changing the name of my class to "ST". Do I need to do anything to assure that I continue to hold my number? The permanent number page still has "STT" and "STS" in its pulldown and no "ST".

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Brice, do me a favor, would you, and send an email to webmaster and remind me to fix that? I'll update all the existing STS entries also.

Done. I took the liberty of changing all "STS" entries to "ST", per Brice's comment. I haven't kept up with how the classes mapped, so hopefully that's right.

Carl, STS became ST and STS2 (or STT as THSCC calls it) became STS. I can only assume that THSCC would prefer to align with the SCCA again on this, since the reason for the STT thing in the past was to avoid the STUPID choice by the SCCA to put a number in the class name.

OK, thanks. THSCC did decide to switch to the new SCCA class names, but I guess I hadn't made all the needed changes. I checked and no STT drivers have permanent numbers, so it looks like no more mods are needed.
