2009 Bus Day - Feb 15 - Volunteers needed (**date change**)

***Notice Date Change Feb 15th to accommodate key people.***
Hello, my name is Chris. I am addicted to volunteering.
I'm the new KOTB, Keeper of the Bus for THSCC this year.

This means I get to make sure the bus is cared for, but it doesn't mean I have to do all the work. I need more addicts to volunteer.

Executive Summary:
What: Bus Day
Date: Sun Feb 15th
Time: 11am - 5pm
Place: 612 W Chatham St, Apex, NC :lol:

for the visually impaired
The club will provide pizza and beverage.

I am planning a bus day for Feb 15 from 11am-5pm.

I did decide to wait until after the 1st RallyX so as to not dirty a perfect clean bus. The AutoX'ers will appreciate that.

TO DO - CLEAN AND ORG

Bus clean windows in and out
Bus interior wipedown / clean
Bus interior organization / labeling / go through all drawers
Trailer interior organization / labeling / go through all boxes
Trailer interior vacuum, mop, wipedown
Trailer exterior wash
Timing equipment sort
FRS radios - check all, toss bad, order new

TO DO - MAJOR PROJECTS - NEED OWNERS?

Test bus batteries + acc battery - replace if needed
Leaking roof panel? Source is speakers that pass through gasket in emergency exit
Bolt on awning and mount generator?

Create club contact list for wall or booklet. I found one from 2000 that makes great resource at an event.
Fix "broken" vinyl graphics holes / seal with clear tape?

Thanks Chris! I'm going to try to make it -- but not only is it V-day, but also my daughter Rachel's 2nd birthday, and 3 days before my wife's b-day ... so no promises

I should be here to help, but already had plans to go to my brothers in Charlotte. Sorry, can't make this one. Chris I do need to know what we need in respect to consumables so I can get those items ordered and replaced, such as numbers, batteries, printer items and so on.

I did a quick once over for the upcoming RallyX, but we'll let you know after Bus Day.

Should I think about rescheduling???

I'd wait and see what kind of responses you get, but you don't seem to be overwhelmed with volunteers right now
