I'm looking for a ride to/from the xmas party -- or if enough riders are interested I'll offer the 6-passenger Durango, fuel, and I'll drive out if someone will drive back. Western Cary near 55 & High House.

Anyone interested?

might be interested (if the offer is still there), I'll get back to you later today on it. There's me and my wife. Is it just you, or are you bringing a couple others?

Hey Brice -- Thanks for the offer but the Durango is almost full, no room for 2 more!

One more seat open if anyone wants a ride from my house near 55 & High House or from Dustin F's house up near 540 & Leesville.

I gotta think there are a few of us far more likely to attend the party if it weren't so far away that people 30 minutes closer than me weren't already feeling the need to carpool. I can't make it this year regardless due to scheduling conflicts, but I never even *consider* it due to the location. Just something to think about...wait, unless the location is chosen BECAUSE I won't go that far! *ding*

Well, then have the damned thing at an actual race! Heck, renting Rush Hour for the Christmas party would ROCK. Race a couple hours, then eat and drink for a couple hours.

I'd be ALL OVER that.

For the price we are getting this for from Bill's BBQ, I bet you couldn't touch it at twice the price within the hallowed rings of the beltline.

Plus, the further west you go, the BBQ starts tasting like crap. Sugar is for tea, vinegar is for BBQ!

I'd be interested in a ride from Dustin's house. If the seat is still open, PM me the address and time of departure. I can help with the driving if you tell me before we get to Wilson :)

Otherwise, I'm open to a carpool arrangement with someone else from Durham.

Donnie --- good grief! The club logo says "Eastern North Carolina since 1964". Wilson is smack in the middle of that, and it is the home of the club, so it seems perfectly appropriate. Heck, I'd even go to Wilson if we were meeting in the 40 degree abandoned storefront that Bowie secured for the 1989 party.

Art - No problem, just don't plan to bring any big coolers since the space behind the 3rd row is small.

Dustin can you pm Art your address?

What time do you guys want to leave from Casa Fredrickson?

Now the big question ... what kind of beer to bring. Last year I brought some Belgian Ales -- Cranberry if I remember correctly. Since it's winter perhaps a sampling of stouts would be in order.

Anyone have suggestions for stores that have a wide selection of eclectic beers?

Well if Dunderbach's was still open, I'd suggest going there. But since they have since moved on, I'm not certain. I think Total Wine, or one of those "Wine-style all beer included" shops may have a wide selection. I think I'll probably go with some Sam Adams WinterAle this year. Haven't really had the time to go scouting for some other beers lately. :)
