For anyone who is getting paranoid about this ... keep in mind that the current symptoms have been consistent for the last 2 years. Trans light coming on when hot, occasional slippage. There's a good chance it would continue to work OK indefinitely.

Just throwing that out there. It's a good idea to get some work done, but IMO I don't think it's *urgent*

Karl, we should talk and put together a gameplan.

I agree Mike, and I didn't mean to mislead folks into thinking the thing is about to quit working. If you're in town this holiday week, I'll call you sometime, maybe we can meet up for a coffee and sketch out a plan.

I'm working very little this week (got vacation to burn) and doing projects so any time is good.

I think I found our bus replacement:

I think if we pull out the seats, we would have some room.. and it can easily pull the trailer :) - AB

Update after Laurinburg 03-09-08

On the way home from the burg I noticed the bus was noticeably pulling to the left when braking. I'm thinking stuck caliper.

Also, the "Off" light on the Overdrive stalk started to blink halfway back, but later (20 minutes) went back off and stayed off for the remainder of the trip. Other than that it seemed to be fine, and honestly wasn't that bad to drive. Although, it was nice outside with little wind.

It's been doing the braking/pulling left thing for months, and the OD thing for a couple of years. I've mentioned it before.

Yeah, figured the OD light was old news. The brake thing shouldn't be tremendously complicated to fix though.
