Membership Benefits For Rallycrossers

Can I request that the board review membership benefits for members who rallycross?

As I see it, if you're autocrossing there are two benefits to being a member (besides the simple joy of belonging to this fine brotherhood)...

Season pass
Entry fee discount

Can we have either or both for the rallycross program in 2007?

Season pass sounds good, but I'm not sure about the discount. Lots of money is made at autoxes, not so much at rallyxes. If it's ok with Bowie it's ok with me, though.

i say if you can recruit a new rallyX'er to participate in an event then maybe discount the entry fee for the referring member. or not.

That's a good idea, Steve- we've done it before, but we could make it general policy. Still, I think Simon was looking for a discount that would be a bit less work.

We can think about having a season pass, but I don't think the program's financially secure enough to start offering discounts to anyone, nor do we want to make running a rallyX less attractive to non-members, since they often make up a good portion of our entry fields.

I agree here. You guys (yes I know Im included in that bunch) are gonna have to start generating more attendance before discounted season passes.

From that page:

In fact, we will be offering a $5 discount to any previous THSCC rallycross participant who brings a new person with them, and we'll extend that discount to the new recruit as well! Sorry, but as our expenses will higher than usual for this event, we cannot extend this discount to everyone.

I think this should be SOP!
