It's not such a big deal for the computer person- they have more time to react, and can always look over at the raw sheet to verify they have their penalties right (this should already be their habit). Worst case, if they miss a cone call or DNF it should be caught by the audit. The raw sheet person is critical, however.

Yes, this is true. A simple hand radio would work for the computer guy. Also... it should be the habit of looking over the raw sheet worker's shoulder, it should also be habit to listen to the calls over the radio to help the raw sheet when things get hairy in the bus. Thus, it is important that the computer guy (or girl) hear all of the calls as well (via headset or handheld it doesn't matter)

We probably need someone to do a thorough cleaning and waxing of it. Graham I think will volunteer as he probably has left over bandages and pain pills.

I'll pass thanks. That little adventure was expensive doing the emergency room trip. I still have the scar to prove it. I do so hate Ford!!

The bus needs paint, not wax. There is nothing for the wax to stick to on the fiberglass. The white you see is what is left of the original fiberglass base paint. I put a polymer sealer on it instead of wax. Doesn't make it shiny but it helps protect the fiberglass. You guys should really consider getting at least the fiberglass painted before the fibers start showing through the epoxy.

Btw, I vote for Rob for WC, AXVP, or anything that'll make him work his a** off

I'd like to find something like this that would connect with our GRMS/FRS radio system.

Not to interrupt the whole radio discussion - but a general cleanout and relabeling of the boxes would probably be good for the off season - maybe putting labels on the shelves so they can match and we know where to look for stuff.

Good idea on labeling the shelves!

At this point I'm going to tentatively plan for a Bus day at my house in January. THSCC has four straight events booked starting next weekend, then T-giving, then the Xmas party, then Xmas time, then new years. So January it is.

There is a lot of stuff to work on. The new officers and staff are expected to attend :)

As soon as a day is picked out, let me know.
I have something to schedule outside of club and want to be there.

I believe that the 3M fiberglas restorer will bring back most of the areas on the bus. I used it on the rear left corner and it seemed to remove the chalk from the gel coat and bring back some luster. The gel coat is thin but still there. I'll try to do it again in Jan. But we need help. I have the necessary power buffing equipment, But I'm not going to do it alone. I'm too old and the freaking buffer's too heavy. We will also need some form of scaffolding to reach the top of the bus.

I don't mind helping out with whatever needs to be done on the bus. One day last Jan/Feb I spent about 3 hours going through all the boxes/bins in the trailer and cleaned/straightened them out. I planned to do it again next year (BTW...this is one of the AutoX VP's responsibility every year). It's kind of important for the VP to be involved with that because they are the one that is responsible for making sure we have all the supplies that we need.

Rumor has it that there is a bridge in Bailey NC that is about the right height....

Amy,
I'm in if you'll help. I have the label maker. We can clean all the boxes, coordinate with Stephen about what needs to be replaced, and label everything.

Well this is as good a time as any to ask - what's a good weekend in January? Everyone OK with doing it at my house? I have plenty of space, tools, etc, and I can work on it for a few days.

Might want to plan several bus days in fact.

Any currently planned / expected events for January?

Probably a rallycross toward the end of the month, if it's not early Feb.
