I talked with Brian (mgr of Rudinos) after our club meeting last week and told him the only immediate feedback that I had was in regards to the time it took place your order and time it took to get your order were both slower than normal. He agreed and apologized (as he had an employee call in sick and was left a little short staffed).

He recommended that people look on-line at the menu and call their orders in (10-15 mins before they arrive) to help reduce your wait time.

He told me that he thought we look a little tight in the back room (which we were thanks to the large number in attendance at the meeting!!). Brian said that he had no issues if we moved out of the back room and used one half of the main room to hold our meeting. I checked and the TVs in the main room also have an S-video hook up so we can still hook up a DVD player to watch cool stuff while we eat.

So, what comments do you have about Rudinos? I'm not just looking for negative stuff, so good comments are welcome as well! I told Brian that I would get the clubs feedback and he was very interested in getting this information.

Questions
1 - We need 50 people for Rudinos to run the pizza buffet. Which do you prefer: Ordering from the menu or having the pizza buffet (no waiting for your order)? Another option would be to have the pizza buffet every other month.

2 - What feedback/comments do you have that you wish to communicate back to Rudonos?

Oh yeah....it's ok just to reply (I'd rather you didn't use the "quote" function as it tends to make the thread much longer).

My overall comments are positive. The food was good and much cheaper. My bill was half of what I spend at the GC. I do think buffet would be better and we do need the larger space out front.

Since we are bringing in 50+ paying customerse that he doesn't usually have at that time of day, I'm sure the owner will work with us to make us happy.

PS. I know all you college boy types love the beer option.

Here's some feedback both positive and negative, some of this is redundant
Neg The room is not large enough, for winter meetings (all that goes away around April or May)
Neg If we take half of the main room we have noise issues from the rest of the patrons. Albeit there are not many of them now, that too might change.
Pos They serve BEER. That aspect doesn't effect me either way but it's a plus for many
Pos It's closer to my residence
Pos The cost of food is comparable
Neg The GC has a more diverse selection
Neg/Pos The service was slow but I came early so it wasn't a problem for me.

The negative cancels the positive so It Doesn't Matter To Me. Both places have pluses and minuses

I enjoyed the change in menu from GC. I spent less money with a good beer. I thought service was OK but I was one of the first ones there. IF there was a pizza buffet I would partake of that as long as it does not cost $8.99 like GC. I give it a big thumbs up. And the beer is not that important to me contrary to popular belief. :toast:

I noticed there was audio coming from the speakers during our meeting. I will ask Brian to turn those off for our next meeting.

I'll confirm the price for the pizza buffet. During the day, it's $6.50 including a drink (more if you have beer, less if you have water, etc).

I think Rudino's was great! It's a more limited menu that Golden Corral, but I think the brew makes up for it. The room (space) might pose a problem, but other than that, I think it's a good alternative.

Good food, good beer. Also easy to conduct the business part of the meeting -- one advantage of a more crowded room is that everyone is near the speaker and it's easy to hear what's going on.

I'm all for the move to Rudinos.. primarily since it's only about 3 minutes from where I work. I think that once the weather warms up, meeting attendance will drop off as usual, and we'll fit easily into the back room. (We might fit on the patio..)

I don't think we should push for the pizza buffet. We can't guarantee the owner how many people will partake, so I think that just ordering your own sandwich (or pizza if you want) is the best approach.

If the poker tournament hears that there's a buffet, I'll wager a shiny nickel that they'll sell to them too. Could you see if you could get the contact information from someone organizing the poker to help the sell for a buffet?
