Due to some changes/conflicts in schedule, I'm now going to be heading to the event tonight solo. If anyone wants to ride with me or if anyone has room that I might be able to jump in with, please call me on my cell phone (number is listed below). Thanks!

PM'd you.

Also, I have been holding the Heel of the Month award hostage for a while which I need to return.

If you SHOULD be the heel of the month, I will be bringing it to you tonight... or returning it to an Officer.

My apologies!

Maybe I'm just stating the obvious here...

But the directions don't jive with the Mapquest map:

Directions:

From Raleigh take US 64 East toward Wendell / Zebulon
At Zebulon exit right and merge onto US 264 East toward Wilson (approx 23 miles)
Get off onto Exit #42 Downing Street
Turn Right on to Downing Street <<-- takes you away from Forrest Hills Rd
Follow Downing Street to stoplight (approx 1.5 miles)
Bills Barbeque is directly ahead of you on the right.
Turn right on Forest Hills Road and immediately left into the parking lot.
We will be in the Convention Center to right of the restaurant.
Parking is on the sides and rear of the building.
Entrances to the banquet room we are using will be marked.

Just making sure...

Stacy

Stacy,

Don't know for sure, but the MapQuest map makes the direction look wrong, but Google map shows more detail of the exit ramp. The exit ramp loops back so when you make the right turn you head NE toward Forest Hills Rd.

Well I made it home last night. I would like to thank the guys who stopped to help me with the flat. Changing a flat with no flashlight or street light is tough. This makes 2 flats I have had this week. I ran over a screw with the beater 210 Sunday and this one looked like a roofing nail. I have to say the Focus has a @##%%%@ sorry jack and putting the lug wrench in a bag the same color as the carpet under it makes it hard to find in the dark.

At least I had a better night than the guy who zipped by me in a silver Honda or Acura with cool blue headlights. I passed him or her about 4 miles down 264 having a roadside chat with 3 or 4 osifers. I hope it was not one of our people. I think the same car smoked by me on the way to the party as well.

That was a Lexus IS300....he was moving pretty quick past us too. We weren't surprised when we saw him snagged a little bit later.

Why anyone gets pulled after midnight and goes to the LEFT shoulder is beyond me.

Thanks to all the folks who came out to the party.

While were on the topic, I need to make a correection to my presentation.

I forgot a "1" in my financial report.

Nov '04 the account was about $13,500, Nov '05 the account was about $13,500.

Not $3500 that I stated.

I must have mixed up my retirement account with the club account.

Are you going to announce the results of the election so those not at the party know who are fearless leaders are for 2006?

Maybe you could do this in a separate thread.

Dont worry, our leaders have plenty of fear ;)

I guess you might like to know you won the "Bowie Gray Service Award" as well.

Congrats, you certainly deserved it.
