Well, I'm about to quit after 6 weeks of agony chasing the "deadbeat seller" of the new bus. If he doesn't come through this week, we HAVE to punt.

It's a crappy situation we're in, since we have already committed to sell the old bus, but, oh well. What can you do.

So, we need help finding a bus. Soon. The old one will be departing within a few weeks. I'm already trying to figure out where to put the stuff.

Ebay searchers, people with friends who know where to find stuff, anyone - either send me an email letting me know what you can do, or jut go out and start looking. I would say start with ebay, but I've been there and done that - the best deals seem to be through word of mouth.

Basically we're looking for a sub-150k mile 13-17 passenger bus. E350 or E450 chassis, prefer the non-turbo diesel and dual rear wheels. Has to have all windows in the back, so no box vans. Prefer vehicles with a known service history.

Who can help out?

As little as possible. We had an agreement to buy the 94 E350 13-pass w/118k, current inspection, lots of recent work, and the 7.3 non-turbo for $3000. That was going to be a smoking deal. So say $5000 is more realistic. Any more than that and we need to regroup and decide if we can really afford to do this or not.

I saw this online in the News & Observer:
"FORD ECONO 350 '93 157k mi. $3700. 919-873-0556.
Published online December 11, 05:50 PM"

I don't know if it is a bus/van or what? I thought E350 might be Econo 350. I thought I would post it for you guys in the know.

How 'bout the Dealers' Auto Auction guy? Do they only auction cars or might he have access to bus info, too?
