I understand the desire to see the numbers, especially when the club has had a year in which more money gone out than has come in but I'm not sure what you hope to see in the numbers.
Having said that, if someone really want to spend the hours pouring over the budget like I've done this year, Bowie has an Excel spreadsheet that keeps a running check book balance. That spreadsheet also has a break out of the what the money was spent on. I don't want to speak for him since this is really the treasurers domain, but I think he would be willing to share that with anyone who wants it.
Warning, I'm going to be elitest here. This is also more my opinion than club policy. I honestly feel that the club has elected folks who stepped up to be in charge of the operations of the club and the general membership should let them run the club. I think that having a position of authority in any club is hassle enough, without having to defend or argue with folks about how the money is spent. I feel that it is of very little benefit to publish the budget and have everyone sitting around Monday morning quarterbacking about every dollar that was spent.
As far as the different programs making or losing money I can say this. TT made money this year. That account is seperate so it is easy to break out the expenses. Autocross and Rallycross is a little harder to seperate out since some of their expenses are "shared"
For example, the yearly insurance fees and bus expenses would have to been the same if we hadn't had a rallycross program. When you add more events in the year it spreads those fixed costs out more. So when you look at it like an accountant the rallycross program reduces yearly costs for the autocross program.
Of course, we aren't that fancy. We just assumed that the fixed costs have already been paid by the autocross/general fund. That makes it easy to look at the per event costs for running a rallycross to see if they were profitible or not. So having said that I think the break even point was right at 28-30 entrants for a rallycross. So going with that figure some rallycross events made money, some broke even and one probably lost about $150.
So any way after that long post I will say these 2 things as my closing remarks. At the officer meeting we had recently, we all went over the finances, so if you want to be in that loop become an officer. Second, In 2 days the club will have a new administration and anything I say at this point is merely a suggestion and not club policy
