Thanks, y'all for signing up! We still need a few more volunteers, if you're planning to be at the event please give us a hand in the booth. Duties will include sitting, standing, drinking, and talking. :)

I will definitely post photos of our booth to the facebook group as well.

I moved some of mine around - Looks like we only have 3 spots that need to be filled to make certain we have someone at the booth.

Thanks!

Maybe we can convince Rodney to stay for more than 1 hour per day. :-P

Hey guys, one thing I will be short on is chairs, so if you have some folding camping chairs please bring them. We should be covered on all other equipment. Thanks!

I think we could call this a success, we learned some lessons on what to do next year versus this year, but otherwise had some solid interested from folks. The SCCA guys showed us up by having a Prototype Light car and a Miata, all caged and on slicks, etc with lots of stickers. They were right beside us though, so maybe people noticed our banner too, lol.

There was even a few of the race from the tent so I found myself hanging out there quite a bit. I did go off and hang out with some friends for a bit though that were watching the race also.

Overall I think we can call this a success and I think we should do it again next year!

Let me first start by saying THANK YOU to everyone who came out and helped! Carlton, Rob, Rodney, Pam, Jordan, Chad, Austin, Francis, Liz, and Art, much appreciated you all coming out and helping cover the booth. Like Chad said, I think we had a successful weekend and definitely learned some things that we could do better next year. We did hand out a good number of business cards and discount cards and should pick up a few more attendees as a result, and hopefully some new members as well. We also saw some old faces from members of years past, and one person even said he will be renewing his membership after a ~30 year lapse.

As for the racing, it was a great weekend to be a spectator at VIR. Good action all weekend with the title races and supporting races, but for me the highlight was the Continental Tire SportsCar race on Saturday. Big field, performance gaps very narrow between cars, with Pro-Am driver lineups really pushing hard and attempting lots of passes made for some great racing. Top that all off with hot but not scorching weather, clear skies and plenty to eat and drink, we had a great time.

I'll definitely be following up with the VIR marketing folks to let them know it was a success, and to line up our spot again (hopefully) next year as well.

Thanks, everyone!

The CTSCC races are always awesome. It makes me mad that the Tudor race and the CTSCC race are on different days. I'd like to see both races, but I don't really want to spend the entire weekend at VIR, and not drive.

We definitely need a car all number'd up for next year if VIR will accommodate us.

Had a lot of fun and the view from the club spot wasn't too shabby either! I'd be up to help out next year. 8)

Get one of the Janko rally cars up there. (they are tagged, legal cars, so you *could* drive it there.) Simon Says, Silver Bullets, etc. would also be a good choice.

(I'd offer Duff, but it's beat to hell all the time.)

Our Super Westerfield Bros. 24HOL race car is also street legal. Not that I'm volunteering to drive it two hours each way though.
