I've started my trek to the local clubs to sing the Gospel about THSCC. So far I've been to the Heart of Carolina Mustang and to the BMWCCA tarheel chapter. I plan on hitting the Porsche guys next month. What are some other local clubs we can talk to? I thought there was a local mini club, but I only see one in Greensboro. Post up here if you know of any places where we can promote the club and get our attendance numbers up.

good to hear.... I was contacted by them late last year and they wanted to attend the novice school. Nice to see them coming to the event!

Since most if not all of this seasons events are not in the Triangle .... sorry, it would seem like you would need to concentrate your efforts in the Greensboro & Fayetteville areas.

Does Bragg or Pope have a newsletter you could post in?

Cherry Point has a Single Marine Program a subsection of the MWR (Morale, Welfare, Recreation) office. That is how NCR got "in" at Cherry Point. The Cherry Point program was DYING to find stuff for these guys to do and LOVE the NCR program (school for grunts on Saturday, event on Sunday)

FT Bragg has BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers).

Quote:
The Fort Bragg Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Program (BOSS) supports the overall quality of life for single and unaccompanied Soldiers on the installation. The BOSS program supports the chain of command by identifying quality of life issues and concerns and works towards resolution of these issues. BOSS assists single Soldiers in identifying and planning recreation and leisure activities that are offered in a safe and exciting environment. It provides an opportunity for single Soldiers to participate and contribute to their respective communities and gives the individual a sense of responsibility and involvement.

The BOSS Program is vital to overall mission accomplishment and serves as a unified voice for single Soldiers. The BOSS office is located in the First Citizens Bank, Building 8-6454, near the North Post PX. For more information, please contact (910) 396-7751.

tmr-nc is the miata club for the area.... they seem to not like fast paced things, so if you go and try talking to them, good luck. Also, I believe their next meeting will be this coming weekend.

The TMR-NC website is dead and the broader scope MSCCNC.org has only seen a posting since Nov last year. That said, I don't think I'll be visiting any mazda clubs to promote THSCC.

I haven't been to one, but I think if we can organize a mass showing at the local Cars & Coffee, it could persuade some people.

Never been to a cars and coffee, too early for me  I don't think we have a banner. We'd need something to draw attention so people would come up and talk to us.

I am however setup to talk to the Porsche guys on the 12th. Just received word back from the new prez Tom and I'm on their agenda.

C&C is largely hard-parkers but it might be worth a shot. I went to the Cary one a few weeks ago and I heard a guy talking about slaloming. Might be worth a shot.

Should we bring the bus and set up our pop up shelter and a table? We don't have a banner, but we have a trailer with a big vinyl graphic. . .

If "whoever" will let us set up, I say go for it. I'll be happy to attend. Since we have the bus day this Saturday, the bus and trailer should be nice and clean in and out. Anyone know who we'd need to talk to in order to get permission to park there? We'll need some business cards to hand out.... I can print up some home brewed ones in a pinch.

Anyone can show up to C&C. Just say we're here with the local E350 shuttle bus enthusiast club :)
