Marek and I met with Carl Fisher last night at the bus for a tutorial on how to set up RallyX timing (we have done the timing before, but have never set it up from scratch).

At the end we hooked up the printer to the RallyX computer, but it acted like there was no printer connected. Everything with the printer itself looked OK. Is there a trick to it? Do you have to use a specific printer cable other than the USB already attached to the printer? Or was it just normal PC stuff, like maybe we needed to reboot?

We ran out of time and light to work on it anymore, but want to make sure it's able to print at the next event.

Shouldn't be. Only thing I can think of is, looking at the printer, the cable (can't remember if it's the power or data cable...I think data?)that runs into the back on the right hand side (goes behind a removable panel) sometimes comes unplugged behind the panel. Remove the panel and check that.
