Dyno day is STILL ON.

However, I do need folks to come out to make this happen. If you can't make it, PLEASE let me know ASAP - we need a minimum of 12 pulls for this to be a go.

12 people or 12 pulls? Cuz it looks like we are far from 12 people . . .

Updated the first post with some proposed time slots. Please let me know if this doesn't work for anybody - I think I captured the time requirements posted thus far. Note that we are currently at 16+ pulls, so this event is definitely a go.

3 final notes:
- Please bring cash, with as close to exact amounts as possible, particularly if you are going early in the day.
- I think everybody so far is 2WD, but if anybody is bringing an AWD car, please plan to come early or go at the end of the day and let me know so we can adjust the schedule - the Dyno needs to be reconfigured for AWD cars, which is not something that we want to do more than once if possible.
- Come at any time and hang out - lots of really cool race stuff to look at in LRR... from 1000 HP Camaro's to nifty race-prepped MX5's.

Thanks!

Can you put me down as a "maybe" at noon? Rwd. Might want to do a baseline on the s2k before considering "options".

Yes I'm becoming a boost addict.

Supercharger or turbo? I was looking at the Kraftwerks SC kit. Looks pretty nice. Most of the turbo kits require you to move the battery and a bunch of other stuff.

I really want to try one of the stroker kits. Supposedly Inline pro has made a 2.7 kit that can get 300hp at the wheels.

EDIT: If I can get my car back together I might be able to get there by 1300.

Let me just chime in here as a former boost junkie. If you want 300whp repeat after me, JBAC, Just Buy A Corvette. You get 300whp right off the bat with any C5 with no hassle of finicky aftermarket parts and torque in spades. Sure, it weighs a bit more than and S2K but makes up for that in other ways. Nothing beats normally aspirated power delivery from raw cubic inches and the amount of money you would spend buying and S2K and boosting it will put your ass in a factory produced reliable 405 hp 400ft-lbs of torque machine, just talk to Mark Barnes and save yourself a bunch of hassle and headache. You can thank me later.

That version doesn't do it for me and I don't want a corvette.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the position that my wife won't let me sell the S2000. She says it makes her look "hot" on the rare occasion we get to go out in it together. She told me that if I sell the S2000 I have to use the money to buy her a nice car. Screw that!

Back to googling superchargers for me...

S2ks were made for boost. Stock internals can handle a surprising amount of power.

I'm also still in for 4 pulls.

Any 'car guy' that doesn't at least want a Vette is just plain nuts IMO.

The rods in the BP and its variants go all "dynamic compression" around 250WHP. :(
