So what the hell does Shenker have that equals 60 additional whp? Rebuilding internals to 0.020 over or whatever cannot be 60whp.

Thousands of dollars of dyno tuning, euro intake or some other intake (at least +10WHP), the 170-180whp jump was mainly spinning he motor to 8k I believe (Not sure what he did about the 7250rpm harmonic in the VVT motors but I'd imagine he found a way to solve it), he runs his car on e85 (+5hp) and his VVT is also working properly (2-3whp) but a ton of midrange torque. I'm sure there are a ton of other little things that add 1-2hp each, his motor is very, very developed. Mine is a junkyard 2005 with I/H/E and a tune I downloaded from the Internet. That said I should be closer to the 130-135 area comparing to what other people have done with similar setups.

If you consider cost I think a fairer comparison for Bill's engine is LS1 swapped cars.

pulls on the bullitt. The car is stock except for a Green Filter and it was running 93 octane.

run 1:
282hp/296tq. adding back 15%, I'm at 332hp in stock form, not to bad actually. This is well above the listed 315hp from the factory.

run 2 w/ Brenspeed ECU tune
293hp/306tq. adding back 15% puts me at 344 at the crank. The car did spark knock and had some black smoke, so running too rich. Looks like I'll be back at LRR in July for a serious tune.

I did get VK in HP, but he got me in torque. Very close numbers between the 2 stangs....

the maxim works header is suppose to be worth 15 whp. And if i can ever get some time on the Dyno, i can prob find 10 15 hp in there, just has never been tuned so..

Is there any interest in doing another dyno day? Now that my car is back together, I would like to know how much power it makes.

Heck, I'd be interested in getting a baseline on the NC, from what I've been reading these cars dyno disappointingly low but respond well to bolt-ons. My car feels strong so I'd like to see where it stacks up before I do some bolt-ons.

I'd be in for some more dyno time. I think my cat was on the way out when I had it on there the last time. Also got my VVT working finally so I'd like to see how much of a difference that made.

If we can get a half dozen more folks to commit, I would be happy to approach LRR again...

That would be great. Should I/we start a new thread?

We need to do this sooner rather than later, the mod itch for the new car is hitting me pretty hard.

I agree. It looks like June 9th does not conflict with any other Tarhell events. LRR is fine with me, but there are several other dyno's that I have used in the Raleigh area too.

June 9th should be great for me. Would give me a final check before CMP.
