<--- would rather keep Wednesdays and find a different place. I go to meetings for the people, not the food.

nasty weather? is it going to snow tomorrow?

you know; Daniel's, a wonderful family Italian fusion restaurant with locations in both Apex and Fuquay has a back room at both of their locations.

the food isn't quite up to the standards of Bill's, but you know us Track-Snobs, they do have regular wine tasting dinners and a full bar.

granted, it is a bit closer to my end of the world..................

Like I said, there are no truly private rooms at Rally Point.....nor was there really at Blincos due to keeping the door open because of Kevin being anti-social and the heat in that small room.

Why is this an issue? The room we had our meeting in last week was quite large and if we had half of it and there was a few other people in there, they can either listen to our (read: Rodney's) rambling/laughing etc or go into one of the other 2 rooms. It's not like we are talking about anything private.

I say we A) Give Rally Point a chance and B) stick with Wednesday unless otherwise ***necessary***

yeah, i dont quite understand why it has to be "private".

its more exposure. we're "that group" that takes over the dining room every wedn. and people will be pissed at us. i say we do it. start a riot. bring weapons.

This^^^

Exposure is good (any press is better than no press).

i don't think changing the day of the week of the meeting is cool by any definition of the word.

what if i were to finally have a free wednesday night and happen to be 40 miles from my house? do you want to be the one member that misses the second meeting i have attended?

BTW, Pastourios was arguing with somebody that night about the viability of Novice YL and he was against it i seem to remember.

the food sucked and MM was wondering why in the world we had to eat dinner with these odd people.

did i mention that Daniel's has a full bar?

I'm not keen on changing meeting nights either since I have structured a lot of my stuff around the 2nd Wed of the month, but for now we at least have a place to meet this week. If this doesn't work out in regard to food, service or what ever, we can certainly start the search over yet again. We have a few suggestions to go on already.

I did go by Tyler's Tap room off of Peace st downtown Raleigh. They have a very nice room that would hold 40 w/ no problem. Plenty of parking out back off street. Only issue is access, a little tough to get to. I've already talked w/ the manager and they would like for us to try them out. Since they only opened this past Dec, they have no monthly meetings scheduled yet, so we can easily keep our 2nd Wed. You guys open to meeting literally down town Raleigh? This is in the same area as Logan's plant place.

<----I feel the same as Rodney and Steve on this. Most of us that have been coming to the meetings for years have scheduled other things around keeping the 2nd Wednesday of the month open for THSCC. Also, believe it or not, some members don't actually haunt the forums. They just *know* we're that Wednesday.
Find a place to accommodate us, not a place that we have to accommodate.

Is this thread the only place to find out about new location?
I just happened upon it.
Shouldn't there be a broadcast email to all members? (What's left of us... )

I vote for the place near Steve, maybe I could get to my second meeting and then crash at steve's because I can't drive that boring ride back to Gvegas after 2 beers. Better Yet, Duck Rabbit Brewery has a tasting room in Farmville, maybe we can get that and all of you could drive down here!
