Hmmm, looks identical to my presentation on the last page :).

The answer is no, but it *is* really difficult to get people to actually do it ;).

Oops, sorry, I guess I should have read the presentation before jumping in. Consider this a vote for your idea :)

yeah i know, too expensive.

but this is what i know, my homeowners dues are like $89 a year. they were something like $72 5 years ago and the old duffers and walking farts in this neighborhood are fighting tooth and nail over the increases.

would an extra $5 a year kill our retention? if so then we aren't doing enough to keep people interested. pimp'in bus and trailer but no awning, or a generator for power. 900 out of work computer nerds that like autocross and we can't set up a membership database that permits online payments? pay somebody to do it.

so to you old duffers and walking farts..................... :stick:

Frankly I don't know much about them. From the little bit I have looked, I am thinking they just will not work for us from a membership maintenance perspective. But if the current effort fails, it's worth a look.

I have maybe removed about a dozen people off the list, but a number of forum regulars remain. The list is up-to-date so if you are on the list, you will be loosing your access in about a week.

Is the list in the 2nd post the "official" list of folks going to be removed or did I miss another list somewhere?

That is the list. As people inform me that they have renewed, I edit that post to update the list. I also emailed everyone on that list. A few emails bounced back due to back addresses.

Email notifications went out on 8/25. I will be disabling accounts end of this week. This is the last warning.

The DB won't roll out till probably end of 1Q 2012. End of year goals is to have the online renewal/membership system setup that will forward electronic data via email to Bowie to continue to update the spreadsheet. When the next phase is implemented, the spreadsheet goes away, but that will be transparent to the end user.

OK, this has been in the works for over a year.
Can we set up a PayPal "drop-box" to collect dues?
If nothing else, could we set up an automatic email reminder which is sent in December, since maybe not all members are logged in to the Forums all the time.
