Hello All!

As a “Member at large” and also a large member I have been working on organizing a social event this fall with my cohort Les Davis. Ideally we would like to have as many members (past and present) come out and have a good time. We would also like to make it family friendly. We would like to gather some feedback from anyone willing to respond so that I can get an idea of who might attend. So far, the event might be…

Oct 31
Raleigh area
11AM to 3PM
Outdoors
Food involved
Concourse judging (you know, for the hard parkers)
Activity(s) for kids
Picnic area

So, onto the questions…
1. Would you be interested in attending?
2. Would you bring your kids and significant others?
3. Would you want it grill your own, grill with others, or catered?
4. Opinions about date and time (although the date may be restricted by facility).

We are in the process of locking down a facility now, so any feedback is helpful in the planning process.

Thanks,
Members at Large
Mike Westerfield & Les “Gold Chains” Davis

PS-Can a mod Sticky this?

So, onto the questions…
1. Would you be interested in attending? Sure
2. Would you bring your kids and significant others? Absolutely
3. Would you want it grill your own, grill with others, or catered? Whichever is easier
4. Opinions about date and time (although the date may be restricted by facility). As long as it's not hot.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

It is 2010, not 2011

I realize this is Halloween, and that is why I was thinking about mid-day. The site I'm currently looking at one of the last dates left that isn't on the same weekend as another event. There are some dates open in Nov, however it is getting colder and closer to the christmas party.

Anyways, keep it coming.

1. Only if this happens:

2. I don't have any of those
3. No opinion
4. No opinion

Social gatherings are fun. I wish we had more of them.

1. Would you be interested in attending? Yes.
2. Would you bring your kids and significant others? Someone has to drive home, right?
3. Would you want it grill your own, grill with others, or catered? Either, but if we are grilling, Vincent doesn't get to touch the wieners.
4. Opinions about date and time (although the date may be restricted by facility). 10/31 sounds good...or another day. Just not the same weekend as the October HPDE or September Lemon's race.

3. Would you want it grill your own, grill with others, or catered? Don't mind pulling my trailer with the grill on it 8)
4. Opinions about date and time (although the date may be restricted by facility). 10/31 is iffy because of halloween, however the next weekend I will be watching Hoppe @ RA.

1. Would you be interested in attending? Yes.
2. Would you bring your kids and significant others? Yes
3. Would you want it grill your own, grill with others, or catered? Having it catered allows everyone to enjoy the day instead of slaving over a grill.
4. Opinions about date and time (although the date may be restricted by facility). Having it on Halloween would suck. With 2 kids in the house, the Halloween festivities would bump the social event off my calendar.

I'm interested, of course. But I have a quibble:

This is a concourse:

And this is a concours:

I would prefer to see a concours, even though moving sidewalks are cool.

Happy 4th, yall!
