Allow me to retort!

If you want to know who called you out at Danville, it was me, although I think others are just afraid to say anything.

How about just coming to me and discussing it like a grownup, instead of telling mommy/daddy? I don't remember anybody "calling me out" there.

I was one of probably many that thought your BS handbrake turn at the chicago box was not only stupid, but dangerous, for I was working that section. When you expect someone to enter the box by going left and they go wide right and pivot backwards through the box was irresponsible. It's one thing to have a moment when you lose control, but in this case you were trying to show off for you girlfriend.

First of all, I aborted the 360° smoky burnout handbrake turn once I realized how close somebody had put the worker station to the box and I didn't try it again. Secondly, people get lost on course all the time, therefore doing something "unexpected", so quit yer bitchin. And finally, I'm not showing off for anybody - I'm having fun with my car. That's the whole point - to have fun with my car. If I was trying to show off, I'd be making videos and putting them on youtube.

To pile on top of that, you continued to spin the car after the finish of each run. Very impressive

Thanks! : )

I think you have excellent car control skills but our autocrosses, even on a setup day, are not your personal practice area. There is a reason the club has insurance and many clubs are losing sites all of the country. I don't want to see THSCC or any club lose a site because something thinks they can be Travis Pastrana at their local autocross setup day.

I ask again - how is this any different from someone spinning his car off the course into the trees? Oh, it's different because I'm in control and he's not. I get it now. Nevermind.

If you want to chat about it further, I should be at the event after Greenville. - AB

Well, if I'm going to be "called out" every time I spin the tires or lock up the rear brakes, I guess I won't be there, so have fun without me.

I'll stay out of this pissing contest that you've started, but there are groups that cater to what it sounds like you want to do...

Here's a somewhat local one.

If I were still doing any kind of motorsports stuff, I would've already tried out one of their "gymkhana" events. Looks like fun.

Kevin, I'm not going to go into a pissing contest on this. - AB

Kevin,

First, I think it was the correct thing to lock the other thread you started. Mostly due to how you presented your question (badly). But at the same time I do not feel it is right to silence dissenting opinion by locking threads. So, I am open to giving you a slight bit of leeway here. However... Make this a constructive and positive discussion (assuming you want to discuss) or this thread will be locked. So far your "retort" is about as offensive as your first thread. This is your chance to make good. However if this turns into a habit, you will be put into forum time out. Don't make me do that.

Richard

Actually after reading this again, I am changing my mind. I am going to lock this thread as well as the content of the first post has "Train wreck" written all over it.

However, I will say feel free to start this topic up again if you are able to convert this into a constructive and informative discussion vs. a "tit for tat" public pissing contest.
