OK. This is a project I started 2 years ago and a million other things have prevented me from completing it.
I'm looking for a volunteer to take on the Remote PA Project!!
This system is used to provide sound at the grid and/or parking area at events where the bus PA isn't sufficient to provide coverage. It broadcast the same information communicated across the bus PA system.
The objective for this system is to require minimum effort/knowledge from anyone to setup at events. This configuration only requires a single connection from the speakers to the small equipment box. All other connections remain permanently attached. The Tripod and speakers require no assembly or disassembly (big issue with the last setup we had). It will hang in the trailer as a single unit. The setup has 2 lightweight speakers identical to the ones on top of the bus. I have completed this part of the project!!
We need a volunteer to complete the equipment box that contains the radio/amp/battery. I have the radio/amp/antenna. We just need to select the battery and the box. My initial thoughts are that this unit would be stored in the bus when not in use and tied into the auxiliary batteries (so it will remained charged). If you are interested in learning more and possibly taking on this project, please let me know. If you are a electrical geek like me, this will be a fun project!!
